Kevin planned an impromptu trip to Colorado. It's totally out of his character but here we are. It was a beautiful drive up on Friday. We went through Santa Fe, New Mexico and then drove up north from there. We wanted to get here before dark as we had no idea where our condo was that we were staying in. We found it without any problem and went to eat dinner and then went to the grocery store for a few items. The first day we didn't really do anything, just lounged around and went out to eat dinner. Yesterday, we again had a leisure day. It was kind of cold so we decided to just go to the movies. Today was another story. We slept in and then went out for brunch. After brunch we went to the activity center to book our excursions for the rest of the week. One of the things I wanted to do was take pictures of the beautiful Fall foliage. It's gorgeous up here. So after we booked our excursions we decided to drive up the mountain to see one of the waterfalls in the area. It was about a 30 mile drive but took about two hours to drive up there and then we had to hike about a half a mile further up the mountain to the waterfall. There were a few places that were pretty treacherous, but we survived. It was worth the hike, at least that's how I feel today. I may not be able to move tomorrow. Here are some photos I took today.
