It's been a good, but busy weekend. Yesterday we got up early to go hear Janine give her Toastmaster's speech for the area competition. She did really well and won First Place. Now she will go to the Regional competition in Santa Fe. Her speech was on the day she had the sonogram and found out her baby would be born with a cleft palate. Her speech made me want to cry, but I didn't want to distract her so I contained myself. Those of you that know me well know how hard that is since I cry at Hallmark commercials. I am so proud of her and hope she does great at Regional. Then we took her out to eat for a celebration lunch. After lunch we came home and I edited photos for the rest of the day. Then today we got up in time to go to church. After church we went and grabbed some lunch, came home to change and then off to go round up the troops to take them to the movie. We went to see Rio. It's pretty good, but kind of slow moving. It made me want to go to Brazil though. It is a sweet story though.
After the movie, Kevin decided we all needed to go for ice cream so we did. Then we delivered everyone back to their homes. We had about 45 minutes until time for church again. Tonight the choir presented their Easter special. It was awesome. I was so glad we went. Then after church we went over to Randy and Tina's. Last week when I was in Littlefield, mom and I went shopping for Christina and I wanted to get her new outfits to her before she out-grew them. We stayed for about 45 minutes. John is so cute. He always pitches a fit when we start to leave. He and Kevin have a blast chasing each other through the house with foam bats. I'm sure Randy and Tina have a time getting him calmed down after we leave. Finally we got back home about 8:30. After a quick bite to eat and then the phone started ringing. About ready to call it a night. Looking forward to a busy but productive week. And how was your weekend?
