To Those That Are Not Coming Home

Over at Pioneer Woman's blog, she has been having a photo contest this week titled "Coming Home." There have been some amazing photos and you really should take a look if you have a minute. This photo was taken by Miss Fancie Pants' She said her husband had taken the photo at a Vietnam Memorial. I just love the way the younger mother is helping the older mother find her son's name. It's so sweet the way she is steadying her hand. There is something so poignant about the photo. I thought it was a great example of what Memorial Day is all about. A day to remember and thank all the military men, women and their families for the sacrifices they have made so we can have all the freedoms and liberties we do. Sometimes a simple thank you doesn't seem like enough, but sometimes it's all you have to give. Take some time today to say "Thank you!" to our soldiers and their families. Especially remember the ones that gave the ultimate sacrifice and didn't come home.

That is a great picture! We don't give our military prople enough credit for sure, and really don't even know how much we owe them. Love, Mom
