Another Crazy Weekend

Wow! It's a good thing I am retired. I would never be able to make it through a day of work tomorrow. We had a jam-packed weekend. It started Friday morning when Tina asked me if I wanted to take some pictures of my nephew John in his bunny suit. Of course I said "Yes." So she came and picked me up. We started in the pumpkin patch and I got some really cute shots of him. The lady at the pumpkin patch was really nice about us using her place for a photo shoot. I did buy a pumpkin before we left. Next we went to Randy and Tina's house and changed John's clothes for some Fall pictures. He was a real trooper and again I was able to take some really cute pictures. I do think he was wondering why we set him in the grass and leaves. It made for a great background. I'm just going to say again, "I love my new camera." It was a lot of fun and great practice for me. We left John with his dad as he was now very ready for his nap. After I got home, my two nieces and my sister all called and said they were coming up Friday evening after all. Most of them would be here in time to go to the Fall Festival at a local church. After they all got here and we got them all changed into their costumes we loaded up the car. Before we could even leave, all the other trick-or-treaters in the neighborhood kept stopping by for candy. I think they thought we were having a party, there were so many in my front yard. We kept telling them, "Sorry we don't have any candy. We are trying to leave." We had a Storm Trooper, Sponge Bob, Speed Racer, Fancy Nancy, Super Girl, and Spider Man. We ended up getting separated. We finally all converged on my house about 9:00. Poor Kevin, he should really get an award for putting up with me and my crazy family. After we returned to the house, trick-or-treaters kept coming up to the door. We did not have the porch light on, but I guess they could see all the hub-bub and just knew we must be celebrating Halloween. We couldn't keep them away. At one point we started giving out the candy the kids had gotten at the Fall Festival. We finally turned out all the lights and went into the back part of the house. It was so crazy. We had a wonderful time, but I am so thankful it doesn't happen but once a year. And to think that was only Friday night. I'll continue the story tomorrow. Check back in and see what else happened over the weekend.
