Today was my first day back to yoga class. I take at the local Jr. College. I started a year ago in the Fall for my first class. I have always wanted to try yoga, but found the classes to be at times that didn’t work for me and then the cost was a little high. The college continuing education class is just perfect. There are about ten ladies in our class and I love it. I can tell we haven’t been meeting for about a month. I’ve gotten so stiff I can hardly get going in the morning. We definitely don’t do any crazy poses like this. I wish I could do a post like that, but I think I would surely break something. We never try this pose either.
Thank goodness. I do wish I was that strong and had that good of balance. I can tell yoga has helped my balance, but my blood pressure medicine is definitely detrimental to my balance. Our class is definitely low key. We do this pose, called “Child’s Pose.” It’s a relaxing pose and believe it or not, it really is relaxing. Only problem, our teacher never lets us stay there long enough in my opinion. We also do “Down Dog.” It is not one of my
favorites as my arms and shoulders are so weak. I’m dying by the time we get out of the pose. Each session also includes several sets of “Warriors.”
There are three Warrior poses
we do, this one is “Warrior One.” Wish you could come and join us, just a bunch of middle age to older ladies stretching and having a good time.
